Stow Bedon & Breckles Parish Council

Clerk wins award

Added on 18 July 2013

The Parish Council was delighted to learn that the Clerk, Julian Gibson, had been the recipient of the Norfolk Clerk of the Year Award for 2013.

The award was made at the Norfolk Association of Local Council's joint Summer Conference with the Norfolk Branch of the Society of Local Council Clerks, held at Carrow Road on Thursday, 4 July.

Each year the Chairmen of all Norfolk Parishes are invited to propose their clerk for the awards, which are made in three categories, for small, medium and large councils. Sue Lake, the Lead Officer of Norfolk ALC said that this was the first time the overall award had gone to a winner from the small council category.

Julian is Clerk to Roudham & Larling, Whinburgh & Westfield, and Wretham Parish Councils, as well as to Stow Bedon & Breckles.

"I am extremely grateful to whichever of my Chairmen said such nice things about me," Julian said, adding, "I really enjoy working for my four Councils, and am flattered that my efforts are so much appreciated."
